NMRV gearbox

Standard worm gear reducers (based on the internationally common NMRV/RV series) are right-angle, crossed-axis transmission units. They utilize a worm to drive a tin-bronze worm gear to achieve high reduction ratios; combining a compact structure with cost-effectiveness, they are widely used in light-duty conveying, packaging machinery, and automated assembly lines.

Product Description

  • High Reduction Ratios & Compact Footprint: Single-stage ratios range from 7.5:1 to 100:1. With input and output shafts oriented at a 90° right angle, it dramatically reduces horizontal installation footprint compared to parallel-shaft gearboxes of equivalent power.

  • Low Vibration & Quiet Operation: Continuous helical sliding tooth engagement ensures significantly lower operating noise than standard spur gears, delivering smooth motion control and superior shock absorption.

  • Static Self-Locking Capability: At higher reduction ratios (typically single-stage ratios $i \ge 40$) with a small lead angle, the unit provides static self-locking to prevent back-driving or load slip, serving as an added safety margin.

  • Rugged, Lightweight Housing: Smaller frame sizes (025–090) utilize die-cast aluminum alloy for optimal heat dissipation and lightweight handling; larger frames (110–150) feature high-tensile cast iron housings to withstand heavy-duty shock loads.

Internal Construction & Materials

  • Worm Shaft: Made of forged alloy steel (20Cr / 20CrMnTi), carburized, quenched, and precision profile-ground. Surface hardness reaches HRC 56–62 to ensure maximum wear resistance and bending fatigue strength.

  • Worm Wheel: Cast with premium wear-resistant tin bronze (ZCuSn10Pb1 / CuSn12) on a ductile iron core, minimizing friction coefficients and preventing scuffing under continuous sliding contact.

  • Bearings & Seals: Fitted with precision deep-groove ball bearings and heavy-duty tapered roller bearings. Critical shaft journals feature dual-lip NBR skeleton oil seals (or high-temperature FKM/Viton seals) to completely eliminate oil seepage.

Typical Applications & Mounting Configurations

  • Target Industries:

    • Logistics & conveying systems (belt conveyors, roller tracks, chain bucket elevators)

    • Food & beverage packaging (shrink wrappers, automated fillers, capping and labeling machines)

    • Factory automation, woodworking CNC equipment, and textile finishing lines

    • Actuators, stage rigging systems, and wastewater treatment agitators/clarifiers

  • Mounting Flexibility:

    • Hollow output shaft with keyway, single/double solid output shafts

    • Side output flanges (short/long flange patterns) or torque arm mounting

    • Full universal 360° mounting orientation compatibility (B3, B8, V5, V6, etc.)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can your gearboxes directly replace international brands like SEW, Flender, or Bonfiglioli?

Yes. Our modular gearboxes (R, F, K, S series and planetary units) are designed to standard international mounting dimensions. They can achieve 1:1 direct interchangeability in mounting hole positions, shaft diameters, input flanges, and gear ratios without modifying your existing machinery.

What technical parameters do I need to provide to select the right gearbox?

To help our engineering team calculate the ideal model, please provide: input motor power (kW/HP), input/output speed (RPM) or gear ratio, required output torque (Nm), mounting position (horizontal/vertical), and the specific application or working environment.

What is the typical lead time for standard and customized gearboxes?

For standard modular models (R/F/K/S series and cycloidal gearboxes), lead time is typically 7–15 days. For customized units with special ratios, shafts, or special flanges, lead time is usually 20–30 days. Emergency spare parts are dispatched within 48 hours.

How do you guarantee zero oil leakage and transmission durability?

All gearboxes utilize precision-machined CNC housings for micro-level bore concentricity, premium dual-lip skeleton oil seals, and top-tier bearings (SKF/NSK/C&U). Every unit undergoes a 100% dynamic running test (vibration, noise, temperature rise) and sealing test before export packing.

What is your MOQ, warranty policy, and do you supply test reports?

Our MOQ is 1 unit (sample order supported). All products come with a 12-month comprehensive warranty. Each shipment can be provided with full documentation, including dynamic test records, material certificates, CMM gear inspection reports, and CE/ISO compliance certificates.
