  • High Reduction Ratios & Compact Footprint: Single-stage ratios range from 7.5:1 to 100:1. With input and output shafts oriented at a 90° right angle, it dramatically reduces horizontal installation footprint compared to parallel-shaft gearboxes of equivalent power.

  • Low Vibration & Quiet Operation: Continuous helical sliding tooth engagement ensures significantly lower operating noise than standard spur gears, delivering smooth motion control and superior shock absorption.

  • Static Self-Locking Capability: At higher reduction ratios (typically single-stage ratios $i \ge 40$) with a small lead angle, the unit provides static self-locking to prevent back-driving or load slip, serving as an added safety margin.

  • Rugged, Lightweight Housing: Smaller frame sizes (025–090) utilize die-cast aluminum alloy for optimal heat dissipation and lightweight handling; larger frames (110–150) feature high-tensile cast iron housings to withstand heavy-duty shock loads.

Internal Construction & Materials

  • Worm Shaft: Made of forged alloy steel (20Cr / 20CrMnTi), carburized, quenched, and precision profile-ground. Surface hardness reaches HRC 56–62 to ensure maximum wear resistance and bending fatigue strength.

  • Worm Wheel: Cast with premium wear-resistant tin bronze (ZCuSn10Pb1 / CuSn12) on a ductile iron core, minimizing friction coefficients and preventing scuffing under continuous sliding contact.

  • Bearings & Seals: Fitted with precision deep-groove ball bearings and heavy-duty tapered roller bearings. Critical shaft journals feature dual-lip NBR skeleton oil seals (or high-temperature FKM/Viton seals) to completely eliminate oil seepage.
